濃尾地震（明治24年（1891年）10月28日、マグニチュード8.0）で倒壊しなかった。

The Great Buddha Hall,
Kinpozan Shoboji Temple

Completed in 1832, 38 years after it was planned.
The temple was not destroyed by the Nobi Great Earthquake (M8), struck the Japanese provinces of Mino and Owari (present Gifu Prefecture) in the Nōbi Plain on Oct. 28, 1891.
